Multiple Tests

You are here!

For a number of reasons, we will only screen for one genetic test at at time. Once screening is complete on the first test, a results report will be forwarded to your referring physician.

If the results from that test reveal a genetic variation confirming a diagnosis, no further testing is warranted. You only pay for the testing we do at the Carver Lab. If you've prepaid more than necessary, you will be refunded the difference.

If the results of the first test reveal no meaningful genetic variations, we will begin screening for the second test ordered. Once complete, a second report will be forwarded to your referring physician.

If unsure of a possible diagnosis, some physicians may order two or more tests on behalf of a patient. The same protocol is followed regardless of the number of tests ordered
